- The Leader reports the death of “two more of our brave Orange soldiers who have paid the great price in the awful European struggle”. James Commins and James Griffin, both of whom had been reported as missing; Griffin in November 1916 and Commins in May 1917 during the Second Battle of Bullecourt.
