• Attacks continue on Mouquet Farm; Percy Nuttall of the 50^th Battalion records in his diary:

Poor old Pozières completed razed. Dead bodies smelling awful. Went into firing line … dead, dying and wrecked were lying all over the place

• Italian troops land at Salonika and join the Allied force
