- Leslie Ramsay Ebsworth enlists. Leslie is commemorated on the Centenary of WWI in Orange Honour Roll; he would be killed in action in Belgium on 15 October 1917.
- Frank Robards enlists. Frank is commemorated on the Centenary of WWI in Orange Honour Roll; he would be killed in action in France on 31 August 1918.
- A party from the 15th Battalion creeps out at night and captures the Turkish trench in front of Quinn’s Post. They are driven back the following morning as they retreat to the Australian line.
- Salvation Army Chaplain William McKenzie records his first burial at Gallipoli:
It was pleasing to be able to bury the Colonel’s body the first night I was in the firing line and we buried him at 9pm in an exposed position and for safety I had to kneel in a crouching position to conduct the service. He had been dead a fortnight.
